FIS Alpine World Ski Championships: remarkable results from Longines Ski Athletes

Swiss watchmaking brand Longines was proud to take part in the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships held in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy) from 7-21 February.
The 2021 FIS Alpine Ski Championships came to an end on Sunday in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. Known as the "Queen of the Dolomites", the small town of the Northern province of Belluno In Veneto welcomed, for two exciting weeks of sports performances, the best skiers of the world.
During the fifteen days of breathtaking competitions gathering the best riders from all over the world, Longines timed and witnessed great sports achievements. The brand seizes the opportunity to warmly congratulate its Longines Athletes Mikaela Shiffrin and Loïc Meillard, who have succeeded in winning a total of six medals.
On the first hand, Mikaela Shiffrin whose success is only equalled by her incredible talent, reigned supreme in the women’s alpine combined. She took silver at the women's giant slalom and completed this impressive performance with two bronze medals in the super-G and slalom.
On the other hand, Swiss 24-year-old talented skier Loïc Meillard's hard work came to fruition with two bronze medals: one in men's alpine combined and another in men's parallel.
Longines was also pleased to cheer up Swiss ski racer Marco Odermatt, who earned a well deserved fourth place at the men's downhill.
Last but not least, Longines witnessed the great performances of its ski slalom athletes, the newly appointed France's Clément Noël and the Switzerland’s Mélanie Meillard.
