As Official Timekeeper of all events organised by the Meydan Group, Longines was proud to time the nine races of the Dubai World Cup, held on 30 March, at the impressive facilities of the Meydan Racecourse. The Swiss watch brand also lent its name to the Longines Dubai Sheema Classic, one of the biggest turf races in the world, claimed by Old Persian led by William Buick. Old Persian’s winning owner, trainer and jockey received elegant timepieces from the hands of Matthieu Baumgartner, Vice President Marketing of Longines and Patrick Aoun, Brand Manager of Longines Middle East. The Dubai World Cup was the perfect opportunity for Longines to highlight a model from the Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” collection, as the Official Watch of the race day. On Saturday 23 March, the Swiss watch brand Longines celebrated its sixth year as the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Longines Golden Slipper, also known as the `Jewel in the Crown´ of the Rosehill Carnival. On this occasion, Longines was proud to have timed the victory of Victorian jockey Damian Lane riding Kiamichi, who took out the coveted title in the richest two-year-old race. In front of an ecstatic crowd at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, the winning owner, trainer and jockey were presented with elegant Longines timepieces from the hands of Longines representative. Longines Golden Slipper Carnival ambassadors, The Rubens frontman, Sam Margin and his international model wife Rosie Tupper, attended the race day and judged the Longines Prize for Elegance, selecting the most elegant female racegoer of the day. They presented the winner a beautiful Longines timepiece, echoing the elegance of this event and her highly distinguished outfit. The Longines Golden Slipper was the perfect occasion for the brand to highlight the Official Watch of the event, a model from the Record collection. In the context of the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Finals, of which Longines is the Official Timekeeper, the Swiss watch brand was delighted to present the Longines Rising Ski Stars prizes today in Soldeu, Andorra. This title, which rewards the best female skier under the age of 21 and the best male skier under the age of 23 in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup overall standings for the season, was awarded to Slovenia’s Meta Hrovat and France’s Clément Noël. Two-time slalom winner at the FIS Junior World Championships in 2018 and 2019, Meta Hrovat ended her third FIS Alpine Ski World Cup season with four top-10 results in the disciplines of slalom and giant slalom, while Clément Noël has achieved his best results in the circuit this season, claiming three slalom victories, in Wengen, Kitzbühel and Soldeu. Both talented athletes received a Longines watch, a trophy, as well as a cheque from Longines Vice President, Charles Villoz. This celebration was held today, following the prize giving ceremony for the overall winners of the 2018/2019 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, a title defended by Longines Ambassador of Elegance Mikaela Shiffrin and Marcel Hirscher, who received an elegant timepiece to mark their outstanding performance.

On Sunday, as the Official Partner of the Organización Latinoamericana de Fomento del Pura Sangre de Carrera (OSAF), Longines was proud to time all the races of the Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano in Santiago (Chile). Ya Primo ridden by Jeremy Laprida won the highlight race of the 2019 Longines Gran Premio Latinoamericano. The 2019 Longines Cup Carlos Campino was claimed by Bernardo León on Lluvia de Plata. The 2019 edition will see a formidable line up of 20 events across continents as the Longines Global Champions Tour circuit expands to bring top-level show jumping to new venues. Indeed, three new breathtaking destinations join the circuit this year: Stockholm, Montreal and New York, making a significant footprint spanning The Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. For the first time, the opening leg of the series was staged in Doha in the magnificent AL SHAQAB Equestrian Centre. The Tour will then head to iconic destinations such as Mexico City, Shanghai, Monaco, Paris and Rome. The prestigious final event of the season will take in New York on Governors Island. Last but not least, the circuit will conclude with the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix in Prague, which gathers the winners of each Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix leg for the ultimate battle. As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Tour, the Swiss watch brand Longines was delighted to witness the victory of Julien Epaillard (FRA) on Usual Suspect d’Auge in the weekend’s highlight trial, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Doha.
