    Longines officially launches the Conquest V.H.P. Collection in Mexico

    On Wednesday 11th October 2018 Longines launched the Conquest V.H.P. collection in Mexico. The event took place in a famous art gallery and gathered members of the press, influencers and other guests from the brand. On this occasion, the guests discovered the attractive features of the Conquest V.H.P. The watches of this collection house a movement developed exclusively for Longines. This caliber stands out for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (±5 s/yr) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field, using the GPD (Gear Position Detection) system. It benefits also from a very long battery life and a perpetual calendar. The guests had the opportunity to appreciate, “Back to the Future of Quartz”, an exhibition illustrating the Swiss watch brand milestones in the quartz history.

    Longines officially launched the Conquest V.H.P. Collection in Hong Kong

    On Wednesday 10 October 2018, Longines launched the Conquest V.H.P. collection in Hong Kong at the Longines Boutique Star House and unveiled the Conquest V.H.P. GMT Flash Setting, a new version providing globetrotters with even greater comfort. Sporty and elegant, this watch is a must for travel lovers. It allows you to easily change time zones either manually, following watchmaking tradition, or by using the smart 'Flash Setting' system that sets the watch using flash pulses from a smartphone. This timepiece revolutionises both watchmaking precision and the user experience. With its second time zone and its 'Flash Setting' function, this watch expands LONGINES’ Conquest V.H.P. “Very High Precision” family, following the three-handed and chronograph versions. This event was also the occasion for the brand to invite its guests on a fascinating journey through the company’s history of quartz, which has been one full of technical innovation and feats. The Conquest V.H.P. Historical Exhibition displays masterpieces shipped from the Longines Museum in St-Imier and takes place from 10 to 15 October 2018.

    Equita Longines, le Salon du Cheval de Lyon presented in Paris

    The Swiss watchmaking brand Longines and its long-standing partner GL Events presented Equita Longines, le Salon du Cheval de Lyon, which has stemmed from their latest collaboration, during a press luncheon held on 9 October in Paris. This annual equestrian gathering, recognized as the biggest in Europe, is part of the FEI World CupTM circuit for the disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Driving. As the Official Partner, Timekeeper and Watch of the event since 2013, Longines is proud to have become its Title Partner in the context of a long-term agreement signed with GL Events last July.   This key rendezvous in the international equestrian calendar will be held from 31 October to 4 November at Euroexpo Lyon. On this occasion, the winged-hourglass brand is delighted to present the weekend’s highlight show jumping trials, namely the Longines Grand Prix, on Friday and the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM, on Sunday. In addition, Longines will have the pleasure to grant the winners of these two competitions with elegant timepieces.   During Equita Longines, le Salon du Cheval de Lyon, the Swiss watchmaker will highlight the Conquest V.H.P. GMT Flash Setting model as the Official Watch of the event.     Team Belgium claimed victory at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final in Barcelona

    Longines was delighted to be the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final, which took place today at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. The Swiss watchmaking brand - FEI’s Top Partner - had the pleasure to time the victory of Team Belgium made up of Niels Bruynseels on Gancia de Muze, Pieter Devos on Claire Z, Jos Verlooy on Caracas and Nicola Philippaerts on H&M Harley V. Bisschop. As a reward for their triumph, the winning team members were presented with an elegant Longines timepiece from the hands of Benjamin Aeby Longines International Sponsorship & Events Manager together with Gaëtan Audier Longines International Merchandising Manager. This thrilling Final marked the end of several months of intense preparation and exciting competitions across the world.   On Saturday 6 October, Longines was associated with another highlight of the event, the Longines FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping - Challenge Cup, won by Team Germany ahead of Team United States of America and Team Brazil.   Longines was also proud to present the Official Watch of the event, a model belonging to the Record collection, which combines classic elegance and excellence, aspiring to become the spearheads of the brand.     On Sunday 07 October 2018, Mexican rider Eugenio Garza Perez riding Victer Finn Dh Z finished first at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup North American League in Columbus, Ohio. Peter Lutz (USA) on Robin de Ponthual finished second ahead of compatriot Kelli Cruciotti on Chamonix H. As the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM North American League series, Longines was proud to grant an elegant Longines watch to Eugenio Garza Perez as a reward for her great victory.

    Longines FEI Jumping World Cup China League - 3rd Leg Final

    The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ China League Final, taking place from October 4-7 in Chaoyang Park, Beijing was taken by Hong Kongese rider Kenneth Cheng and his mount Pommeau du Heup. Belgium’s Vincent Lambrecht on Delitys by Wisbecq took second place and Xiakejia Wopa (CHN) and Con Air completed the podium.   The first leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ China League took place on 1 May 2018 with the victory of Chinese rider Quanwei Meng on Chronos van Sappenleen Z. On 27 May, the second leg was claimed by Nulahemaiti Abai (CHN) on Gulio van De Koelaar in Chengdu. As the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the series, Longines looks forward to the Final in Gothenburg next April.   The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ China League Final was also the perfect opportunity for the spectators to discover the Official Watch of the event, a ladies model from the Record Collection, combining classic elegance and excellence.  Displaying a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond indexes, this timepiece is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), a designation awarded to all of the pieces in the Record collection.

    Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Longines Prix de l'Opéra

    As the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, which was back on the new ParisLonghcamp racecourse, the Swiss watch brand Longines had the pleasure to offer its timekeeping expertise to the sixteen races, including nine in Group 1. The eponymous race saw the victory of Enable, ridden by Frankie Dettori.   Also on Sunday, the Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp Longines and the Prix de l’Opéra Longines Group 1 races were claimed by Mabs Cross and Wild Illusion respectively. On this occasion, the brand presented the jockey, trainer and owner of the winning horses with elegant Longines timepieces.   Earlier today, the Longines had the pleasure to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the plates displaying the 2015 and 2017 Longines World’s Best Horse Race titles claimed by the  Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. The mythical race was presented twice the prestigious Award by Longines and the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities, during a ceremony held in London in January. The plates can now be admired at the Club ParisLongchamp.   Along with the excitement of the most awaited horseracing trial, the spectators at ParisLongchamp had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event: a model of the Record collection. Featuring a white matt dial with painted roman numerals, this timepiece is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).

    On Saturday 6 October 2018, Germany’s Wilhelm Genn and his mount Bugatti earned first place at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League in Sacramento. American rider Karrie Rufer on George d’Auvray EC took second place followed by compatriot Karl Cook on Caillou.     Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup - Division 1 - CSIO Barcelona - FINAL

    On Saturday 6 October, Longines was proud to be associated with one of the weekend’s highlight trials: the Longines Challenge Cup, which was won by Team Germany made of Philipp Seishaupt on Asathir, Hans-Dieter Dreher on Berlinda, Maurice Tebbel on Chaccos’ son and Marcus Ehning on Comme il faut 5. Team USA and Team Brazil secured the second and third place respectively. As the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series, Elena Orozco Brand Manager of Longines Spain together with Stéphanie Lachat Longines International PR, Heritage and Digital Manager had the pleasure to present the Germany’s Team with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward for their great performance.   The Official Watch of this exciting event is a model from the Record Collection.     Longines has chosen the prestigious event of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Final, taking place at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, to celebrate its 1’000’000 Instagram followers. On Friday 5 October, our Instagram influencers from all over the world were gathered in Barcelona, active on the social media since 2014. On behalf of the Longines Management, the Vice President and Head of International Marketing Juan-Carlos Capelli had the pleasure to present them with an elegant Longines timepiece, a model dedicated specifically to the discipline of Jumping. %break%For the occasion, all the guests had the chance to discover and wear our main collections, comprising La Grande Classique de Longines, the Conquest V.H.P., The Longines Master Collection, the Longines DolceVita and the Record collection.
