Longines welcomes the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton in Canada

The Queen’s Baton Relay started its cross-Canada journey on July 27 with a visit to the Longines Boutique in Toronto. It was launched at Buckingham Palace on March 13, 2017. The Baton travels through 70 Commonwealth nations and territories and cover close to 230,000 kilometers. The journey will end in Australia at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games on April 4, 2018. As Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Longines is proud to have welcomed the Queen’s Baton in its Boutique in Toronto on July 27. On this occasion, multiple medal-winning Canadian athletes Curt Harnett and Alexandra Orlando joined the Swiss watch brand and discussed their personal Commonwealth Games experiences. The Queen’s Baton relay will then travel across Canada before revert to Europe by middle of August. Longines is also Presenting Partner for a number of sports of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games including Track & Field, Gymnastics, Rugby Sevens and Table Tennis.
