Belgium rider Jerome Guery claimed stunning victory at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City
The second leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, of which Longines is the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper, was rounded off this Sunday by the stunning victory of Belgium rider Jerome Guery on Quel Homme de Hus at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City. To celebrate his achievement, Jerome Guery was presented with an elegant Longines timepiece from the hands of Charles Villoz, Longines Vice President.
This great weekend of intense competitions was also the perfect occasion for Longines to present the Official Watch of the event, a new model of its iconic HydroConquest collection, which combines technical excellence and traditional excellence, both distinguished hallmarks of the brand. This timepiece features a bezel enhanced with a coloured ceramic insert adding a touch of brilliance and modern styling.
On Friday April 12, Longines unveiled a new all-ceramic version broadening Longines’ HydroConquest collection during an exclusive event held in its Palacio de Hierro boutique, located in the Polanco neighbour of Mexico City. As a world premiere, Longines Vice President Charles Villoz presented to guests and selected media this new timepiece entirely made from black ceramic, whose dial proudly displays its chemical composition: ZrO2. This highly technical and scratch-resistant material is perfectly suited to the sporty look of the new HydroConquest watch. Its boldness is further heightened by the different finished of each of its components: a matte dial, a polished case, a round satin bezel and a back blending a circular satin and matte finish.
