Thrilling emotions during the Longines Speed Challenge, which saw the victory of Daniel Deusser

The Longines Speed Challenge provided again thrilling atmosphere and saw the victory of Daniel Deusser. With his horse Happiness van T Paradijs, the German rider was the fastest, followed by Pius Schwizer on Leonard de la Ferme CH and Bertram Allen on Quiet Easy. The challenge for the competitors of this trial is to achieve the fastest time, knowing that a fault only leads to a two second penalty, instead of the usual four. This rule pushes the riders to give their best and to run the course as fast as they can, creating a high level of suspense. The Longines Speed Challenge requires mastering timing and precision, two values which are dear to Longines.

The Longines Masters of Hong Kong is the third and last leg of the series, which began in October in Los Angeles and continued to Paris in December. Passionate of the equestrian universe, Longines is proud to be the Title Partner and the Official Timekeeper of this intercontinental event of showjumping. The Swiss watch brand also presented the Official Watch of the Longines Masters of Hong Kong, a new model of The Longines Equestrian Collection. This line is a tribute to the deep bonds the brand has forged with the equestrian world.

An exhibition as a trip back in Longines history

Longines offers to the Longines Masters of Hong Kong public to have a look back in its rich history through an exhibition entitled Longines Flagship 1957-2017. The Swiss watch brand celebrates thus the 60th anniversary of this emblematic collection. For the very first time, old Flagship watches will be taken out of the Longines Museum in Switzerland where they are usually kept. Visitors will enjoy an interactive digital system whereby they can view archives concerning this line, including technical drawings and old advertising films, which forms the watchmaker's heritage.
